ELINT Analyst
Role Summary
The ELINT Analyst provides intelligence analysis support as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering mission-critical outcomes for Our Client. This role centers on evaluating foreign air and air defense systems, integrating ELINT with complementary intelligence sources, and producing analytic products for a diverse national security customer base. The position offers opportunities to deepen technical expertise and expand analytic tradecraft over time.
What You’ll Do
- Assess operational trends across foreign air and air defense systems, including identification of newly deployed capabilities.
- Analyze and integrate ELINT with other intelligence disciplines to develop a comprehensive threat picture.
- Collect, exploit, and evaluate data related to integrated air defense systems (IADS).
- Provide subject-matter expertise on current and emerging foreign air and air-defense capabilities.
- Author clear, defensible threat assessments and analytic products for a wide range of intelligence consumers.
- Adapt analytic focus and research priorities in response to evolving world events and customer needs.
Required Qualifications
- 4 + years of experience working within the U.S. Intelligence Community.
- Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with a current Full-Scope Polygraph.
- Knowledge of the integrated air defense system (IADS) kill chain.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
- Strong understanding of customer missions, analytic priorities, and intelligence business processes.
- U.S. Citizenship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background working within the U.S. Intelligence Community at any career stage.
- Hands-on experience conducting ELINT activities, including operational-level or technical analysis.
- Familiarity with radar systems, including design concepts and applications for airspace surveillance and weapons control.
- Working knowledge of analysis platforms such as IMOM, ESAMS, EADSIM, SUPPRESSOR, AFSIM, FalconView, GALE, MIST, THRESHER, BVI, or comparable tools.
- Experience developing or supporting software, scripts, or code used for military system modeling, simulation, or analytic workflows.
- Understanding of aircraft platforms, air operations, and integrated air defense environments.
- Exposure to the development or analysis of U.S. weapon systems.
- Strong analytic tradecraft with the ability to communicate findings clearly through written products and briefings.
- Demonstrated adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, methods, and mission domains as requirements evolve.
Work Model
This role is 100% onsite at CIA Headquarters (Langley Building). Candidates must be able to work onsite in McLean, Virginia.
