Job Description:
The candidate for this position is required to focus on expanding the company's dealer community in strategic markets. This position will make direct contact with targeted contract accounts. Primary responsibility is to grow sales at a minimum of 10% annually. Focus on expanding our dealer community in key, strategic markets and develop sales leadership for undeveloped territories. The candidate will be required to sell the benefits of doing business with Open Plan Systems while continuing to improve the company's dealer population. The position will report to the Director of Sales.
Job Requirements:
Ability and experience in dealing with the following:
- Maintain a self-starter attitude while creating outreach strategies for new lead generation methods
- Anticipate needs by studying services and conducting market research to identify new leads
- Support senior sales teams and sales representatives on outbound strategies and lead generating efforts
- Be the first point of contact for new business prospects and determine the next steps for each prospect moving forward
- Establish active communication and engagement with prospects to create new leads and sales openings
- Collaborate with sales teams by bringing innovative lead generation ideas
- Attend product training conferences and develop an understanding of our communication infrastructure
- Develop specific revenue goals for expansion in under developed segments
- Performs all other duties assigned or as necessity dictates
- Involved in assessment of all large projects
- Provide insight and guidance for expansion of contract offerings to include new programs and products.
- Train Dealers and hone skills to meet revenue goals through presentation training and marketing strategies
- Train Territory Managers and ensure marketing continuity throughout the company
- Maintain consistent contact with dealer network
- Weekly forecast
- Spearhead efforts to expand Open Play Systems' contract relationships.
- 10% Growth in region on an annual basis
- Work closely with the CSR positions and provide support
Specific Skills:
- Flawless communication skills, both written and oral, with extensive public speaking experience
- Must be able to travel within the United States on a monthly basis while maintaining professional decorum
- Have a strong work ethic and are eager to learn and make new connections with prospects
- Must be an excellent problem-solver and willing to collaborate in an exceedingly competitive environment
- Thorough understanding of commercial awareness and brand recognition to successfully establish rapport with prospects
- Comprehensive product knowledge of contract systems furniture industry
- Thorough understanding of the contract furniture sales cycle
- Possess the ability to forecast and manage sales activity
- Proven track record in obtaining contractual business.
- Strong presentation and speaking skills
- Team oriented, positive, persuasive personality
- Possess negotiation skills that allow for win-win
- Time management skills; strong organizational skills
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks; self-motivated, creative, public communication skills, results oriented, flexible and resourceful
Additional Comments:
- Must have Bachelor's Degree (Preferred in Business and/or Marketing).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sales or Marketing field working directly with end-users.
- Computer knowledge - with advanced format, window's base applications, highly technical knowledgeable.
- Must be able to commit 65% of work week to field travel.
- Relocation to Richmond, Virginia is required.
