Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Flex Badge Verification in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading tech and telecom location, you will help manage badge access, greet employees and visitors, and monitor entry points using computer and/or tablet systems. You will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site teams. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to clients at a technology-focused location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Control access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing and/or tracking visitor credentials, processing check-in and check-out, and maintaining required access logs and reports.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or access control systems; identify unusual activity and report conditions that may help to deter unauthorized entry and/or policy violations.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site representatives and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, including checking doors, gates, loading areas, and other controlled access points; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
