The mission of the Student Health Center is to ensure the highest quality medical care for all full-time students at William & Mary. William & Mary Student Health Center invites applicants for a full-time, staff psychiatrist position. This person will serve as part of a multidisciplinary team in providing outpatient mental health treatment to enrolled students. Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and appropriate medical management of mental health conditions; maintenance of appropriate documentation; crisis intervention and recommendations as needed; consultation to other health professionals within the Health and Wellness units; and education/training related to mental health conditions of late adolescence and early adulthood. Consultation with departments within the Division of Student Affairs and the University, based on established Releases of Information and as allowed by the Law in the Commonwealth of Viriginia.

Full-time, exempt working regular business hours, with consultation as needed during peak demand and crises.

Faculty or Staff: 12 month

Qualified applicants will have an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school; completed at least a 3-year accredited psychiatric residency program; Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Psychiatry; current unrestricted license in the Commonwealth of Virginia; and current DEA certification.

Preference will be given to applicants who have prior experience with college and university students or emerging adult populations; CPR certification; demonstrated success working within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Remote work eligibility is not guaranteed and is subject to approval. Employee eligibility depends on the likelihood of the employee succeeding in a remote work arrangement and the supervisors ability to manage remote workers. Departments and/or Human Resources may amend, alter, change, delete, or modify eligibility.

Up to $173,025, commensurate with experience.

All hiring rates are commensurate with relevant experience up to the advertised amount considering internal alignment.
