FIELD TECHNICIAN V

Job Description:

The Combat Systems Technician conducts repair and failure analysis on AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR equipment in Fleet Concentration Areas (FCAs). Subject Matter Expert with all AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR combat system equipment. Familiar with all legacy SONAR and modern AN/SQQ-89A(V)15 SONAR equipment. Analyzes failures and faults and provides corrective solutions required in order to implement equipment repair. Conducts testing and restoration activities as required.

• Performs a range of technical tasks and provides site support.
• Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment.
• Troubleshoots a range of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues.
• Performs a range of integrity testing and interviews customers to gather information about problems.
• Prepares and presents a range of incident/performance reports to the customer and to the service delivery manager.
• Provides advice and a range of onsite training for customer support personnel.
• May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals.

EDUCATION: AA/AS degree or equivalent experience

EXPERIENCE: 8+ years’ experience in troubleshooting and repairing AN/SQQ-89(V) SONAR system equipment.

Requires active Secret clearance

Must be US Citizen

● Experience: 8+ years of related experience
● Security clearance level: SECRET
● US citizenship required
