Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in home health located in Pulaski, Virginia is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist. The role involves carrying out treatment plans, documenting patient progress, and performing home visits within designated territories including Floyd, Montgomery, Giles, and Radford. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.

Job Details:

• Schedule: M-F, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current CPR certification; familiar with general use and functions of the computer, including internet, email, and navigation of desktop applications; ability to self-manage online HR services and training programs; licensed as a PTA by the state in which practicing; 2-3 years of experience under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist; graduated from a 2-year college-level program approved by the APTA or CAPTE; experience with HCHB EMR system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in home health, preferably with HCHB EMR system.
• Travel: Approximately 150 miles per week covering the territories of Floyd, Montgomery, Giles, and Radford.
• Additional Information: This contract is expected to last 13 weeks, with a billing rate not to exceed $70. The contractor will report to the designated Director of Operations, with work approvals managed by Gracie Tuel, RN. Responsibilities involve home health care with no weekend rotation or on-call requirements specified.
