About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.
About the Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Cyber Operations Engineer to provide critical engineering services in support of Computer Network Operations (CNO). In this role, you will be at the forefront of offensive cyber mission planning, integrating complex toolchains, and troubleshooting systems in realistic mission environments. This is a high-impact position where your technical aptitude directly enables the success of national security cyber activities and ensures that mission-critical capabilities are tested, sustained, and ready for deployment.
- Provide specialized engineering services to support the full lifecycle of Computer Network Operations (CNO).
- Integrate multiple tools, technologies, and mission capabilities into cohesive and efficient operational workflows.
- Develop and maintain high-fidelity simulated environments that accurately mimic real-world operational scenarios for testing and training.
- Lead the testing, troubleshooting, and sustainment of CNO systems to ensure mission readiness.
- Provide technical guidance and operational analysis to support complex mission planning activities.
- Resolve technical problems for cyber mission activities through deep-dive analysis and engineering solutions.
- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems and infrastructure critical to the mission environment.
- Collaborate daily with a cross-functional team of developers, operators, analysts, and engineers to achieve mission objectives.
- An active Top Secret clearance.
- 3 or more years of experience supporting cyber operations, testing, or engineering activities.
- Demonstrated experience testing CNO capabilities and troubleshooting cyber systems/workflows.
- Hands-on experience building or supporting simulated operational environments.
- Professional working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and operational technologies.
- Familiarity with the application of diverse technologies within CNO environments.
- Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Security, or Network Engineering.
- Equivalency Path: In lieu of a degree, candidates may substitute five (5) years of CNO experience AND at least one of the following certifications: CISSP, OSWP, or OSCP.
- Experience supporting or developing capabilities involving 5G/4G cellular technologies, Bluetooth, or Wi-Fi.
- Technical expertise in dissecting or analyzing complex network protocols.
- Familiarity with vulnerability research (VR) or reverse engineering (RE).
- Experience supporting effects-based cyber capabilities.
- Experience working directly within classified or operational mission environments.
