Your Responsibilities

• Performing detailed patient evaluations, requesting necessary diagnostic tests, and developing customized care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, either independently or in collaboration with physicians as credentialed
• Providing education to patients and their families on preventive care, wellness, and effective disease management
• Prescribing medications and therapies within your capacity to practice
• Engaging in patient follow-ups and chronic care management
• Working within interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, seamless care
• Maintaining meticulous and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Education and Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in Virginia
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to obtain these within 90 days)
