Program Specialist

Summary

The Program Specialist provides subject matter and analytical support for the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement of adolescent health education and intervention programs under the Teen Health 360 program in the Department of Pediatrics. The position coordinates program activities, supports research and evaluation, develops educational and training materials, collaborates with schools and community partners, and assists with grant-funded projects to ensure achievement of program goals and compliance with funding requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and implement Teen Health 360 program activities, including planning, scheduling, community outreach, school partnerships, trainings, workshops, and educational events;

  monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure compliance with grant objectives.

• Conduct program monitoring and evaluation activities, including data collection, quality assurance, REDCap/Qualtrics data management, preliminary data analysis, and continuous quality improvement.

• Develop and maintain educational materials, training curricula, program resources, reports, presentations, grant deliverables, manuscripts, and dissemination materials.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, schools, healthcare providers, community organizations, and youth-serving agencies to strengthen partnerships and support successful program implementation.

• Participate in grant administration, documentation, meetings, special projects, and perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or training:

Bachelor's degree in public health, health education, health promotion, social sciences, or a closely related field.

Level and type ofexperience

Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in program coordination, health education, research support, public health, or community-based program implementation.

Specific knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Knowledge of program planning, implementation, evaluation, and quality improvement

• Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

• Strong organizational and project management abilities

• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work effectively with diverse schools, healthcare providers, and community partners

Other:

Ability to travel locally and work occasional evenings and weekends for community outreach and training activities.

Preferred knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience working with adolescent health and grant-funded public health programs.

• Experience coordinating school- or community-based health initiatives

• Experience facilitating trainings and educational workshops

• Experience developing educational materials and evaluation tools

• Experience using REDCap, Qualtrics, Google Forms, or similar electronic survey, data collection, and research management platforms.

• Experience analyzing quantitative data using Microsoft Excel, SPSS, Stata, or similar statistical software to support program evaluation, research, and reporting.

• Experience with qualitative data management and analysis using NVivo, Dedoose, or similar qualitative data analysis software.

Final salary offers may vary depending on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, internal equity, and budget availability. The anticipated salary range for this position is $46,000 - $55,000 annually.
