Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Candidates must possess BLS certification. Description: The unit comprises 36 beds and employs a total of 55 staff members. Staffing includes 1 Clinical Coordinator, 6 RNs, 3 Techs, and 1 Unit Secretary on the day shift, and 1 Clinical Coordinator, 6 RNs, and 2 Techs on the night shift. Patient ratios are 1:6. The unit is equipped with Baxter IV pumps, Medfusion pumps, and SCDs. The electronic medical record system utilized is Meditech. Ideal candidates will have experience in caring for post-operative patients. Competency in dressing changes, wound care, and drain management is essential. The best personality fit is a team player with a positive attitude and a strong advocacy for patients. Candidates should be able to function in a fast-paced environment. The dress code consists of navy blue and white scrubs, with no hoodies, pull-overs, or T-shirts permitted. The unit is recognized for achieving top patient experience scores, measured through HCAHPS.
