Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic accounting team. Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded, and supporting the company’s financial health. This role is vital for accurately recording financial transactions, maintaining general ledgers, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly adapt to changing business needs. Your keen attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to think critically will directly contribute to the accuracy and success of our financial reporting and operations.

Job Requirements/Expectations:

· Prepare journal entries, financial statements, account reconciliations and analysis

· Responsible for running and analyzing different reports to detect errors early and validate that balances are accurate.

· Responsible reviewing customer accounts to ensure that product is being returned and customers are being charged

· Collaborate with customer service to make sure there are no gaps in the process to make sure customers are not recouping funds erroneously.

· Responsible for validating customer sales tax IDs and reconciling monthly tax filings.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

· 2-3 years’ accounting experience

· Knowledge of GAAP

· Experience with multistate tax software (Ex: Avalara)

· Experience with Excel

· Experience with ERP

· Ability to work with others
