We are seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with sheet metal, operating press brake machinery, and using precision measuring tools such as calipers to ensure high-quality production standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate brake press machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders.
• Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to inspect parts for accuracy and quality.
• Adjust machine settings to accommodate different materials and thicknesses.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating a brake press in a sheet metal environment.
• Proficient in using calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Familiarity with CNC brake press machines is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Amada, Trumpf, or similar brake press brands.
• Knowledge of sheet metal types, thicknesses, and bending techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot and make minor machine repairs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
