Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Computer Reporting in Ashburn, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a government education location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity. - Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and other individuals by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, support campus access-control procedures, and report unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior.
- Document observations, incidents, and patrol activities accurately; communicate relevant information to school personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
