Accounting and Integration Manager

SSP is hiring an Accounting & Integration manager who will work as an integral part of the accounting team primarily leading accounting merger and post-merger and acquisition activities and projects, establishing intended synergies to maximize the predicted value and setting expectations for companies to perform and operation effectively together.
- Located in Ashburn, VA HQ office - hybrid potential once fully trained
- Pays $110,000 - $115,000 per year with bonus potential
Essential Functions
- Work with limited supervision to lead corporate accounting acquisition activities and projects, collaborating with multiple departments and stakeholders, leveraging progressive methodology and industry best practices. Remain intimately familiar with the current accounting environment and cross functional stakeholders to proactively address unique accounting issues and business requirements.
- In all cases, adhere to company procedures in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Provide comprehensive supporting documentation for audits as required.
- Develop, recommend, plan and directly manage accounting projects (i.e., scope, goals, critical path and timeline, deliverables, communication plans, etc.), effectively addressing dependencies and overall impact; course correcting to deliver results as required.
- Review and evaluate internal process documents for accuracy and compliance with Patent Company Policy and offer recommendations for improvement.
- Performs any other duties as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications - Education, Experience, Skills, and Other Requirements
- Must have at least five (5) years' experience in a similar corporate accounting position.
- Required Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or finance related field.
- Must be technically proficient in GAAP and IFRS; SAP experience preferred.
- Public Accountant license or active candidate preferred
- Must demonstrate high attention to detail, and knowledge of merger and acquisition frameworks.
- Excellent organizational skills to effectively and timely complete assigned tasks and projects as assigned. Ability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change.
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level technical competence and experience with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint). SAP preferred, but not required. Must be comfortable working in a digital environment.
