Cemetery Grave Excavator

Responsibilities
- Grave Preparation: Excavate graves to precise dimensions using backhoes, loaders, or hand tools such as shovels and picks.
- Interment Support: Prepare sites for funeral services, including setting up tents, chairs, lowering devices, and artificial grass dressing.
- Backfilling: Refill graves after services, replace sod, and ensure the area is properly leveled and maintained.
- Grounds Maintenance: Maintain cemetery aesthetics by mowing, trimming, removing snow, cleaning debris, and pruning plants.
- Marker Installation: Set, align, and repair grave markers, headstones, and monuments.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and perform routine maintenance on tractors, backhoes, turf vehicles, and landscaping tools.
Qualifications
- At least 4 years experience digging trenches or experience digging graves with heavy machinery, such as excavators.
- Ability to lift, move, or push heavy objects (up to 90-100 lbs).
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and in confined spaces.
- Demonstrated respectful, sensitive, and professional demeanor, especially during funeral services.
- Valid driver's license required.
