Mechanical Project Manager - Engineer
Job Details:
Position Summary
The Project Manager’s primary role is to manage various types of engineering design projects and serve as the design team lead when interfacing with customers. The Project Manager will work side by side the design team with a constant eye toward managing scope and budget.
Requisite Skills
- 4 Year College Degree (Engineering, Construction, or Facilities related) or 10+ years of experience in managing AEC (Architectural/Engineering/Construction) related projects.
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical projects and to meet established deliverables.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiar with cost and financial accounting standards, methodologies and metrics.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently map staffing requirements to Statement of Work.
- Ability to coordinate own and other’s actions, manage own time and manage personnel resources.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A strong desire to learn.
- Top Secret Clearance or eligible for one.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI).
- Cross Discipline Training – knowledgeable multiple technical areas.
- Working knowledge of the FAR and Government contracting.
- Proposal and budget/cost development particularly in government contracting.
