Join the premier cancer treatment center on the East Coast - Virginia Cancer Institute currently operates 6 facilities in the greater Richmond area and is actively seeking a Full-Time Dietitian to work with our friendly and approachable staff, physicians and patients.

Virginia Cancer Institute, a well-respected medical practice in the RVA, is in the process of adding to our organization. The Dietitian position is responsible for providing professional nutritional support to cancer patients across the continuum of their cancer treatment; implementing a nutrition screening assessment system for cancer patients undergoing active treatment; creating a nutritional plan, taking in consideration the patient’s diagnosis, treatment plan, co-morbidities, medical history, medications, supplements, symptoms, and cultural needs; providing evidence-based recommendations nutritional management; identifying and developing nutrition-related educational materials for patients in treatment and cancer survivors. Provide resources to assist patients and staff to implement nutrition related behavioral/lifestyle changes; Ability to participate effectively on interdisciplinary teams, department committees and community projects.

The successful applicant should be an RDN with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in nutrition or Dietetics. They should have experience working with oncology patients in the outpatient setting. They should have a solid knowledge of clinical nutrition with emphasis on nutritional requirements of cancer patients.
