Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking to hire **Assembler 1's** for our **Charlottesville, VA** site.
**In this position you will:**
+ Performs a variety of tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
+ Works from diagrams and drawings, makes initial layouts, and uses hand and/or power tools, jigs, and saws.
+ Makes continuity checks on work in process and completed.
+ May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications.
+ May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
A successful candidate will possess great communication and interpersonal abilities, excellent organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, manual dexterity, the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, learn quickly, work well independently and as part of a team.
**Position Summary / Responsibilities:**
Performs a variety of detailed tasks ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive production assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies such as modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, and cables.
+ Works from operation sheets, diagrams and drawings.
+ Uses hand and/or power tools, including soldering irons.
+ May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications and under simulated conditions.
+ May conduct quality inspections in accordance with specifications.
+ Obtains/maintains workmanship certifications.
+ Willing to work overtime.
**Basic Qualifications:**
+ High School diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of 0 year of manufacturing experience.
+ U.S. Citizenship.
+ Ability to lift and move objects, up to 30lbs, from one location to another.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Work experience in electro-mechanical manufacturing, including wire harness.
+ IPC 610/620 Workmanship Certification.
+ J-STD-001 Certification.
Primary Level Salary Range: $31,200.00 - $50,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
